Allah's rules arent like your parents

I saw my son drinking water, unprompted, and I was so excited — so genuinely happy that he was doing something good for himself.

SubhanAllah, Allah loves me more than I love my son. He placed this love inside of me. He is Al-Wadud, The Most Loving.

So when I choose water instead of a soft drink, for the sake of pleasing Allah, for the sake of looking after the body He gave me — that’s why I’m getting good deeds.

Before I had a son, my understanding of Allah’s love was tainted.

But since having a son, it’s clicked a bit more.

I have rules for him not because I want to control him or want him to miss out, but because I love him and I want what’s best for him.

My knowledge is limited — I might get it wrong sometimes.
My love is limited — sometimes I might do something self-serving.

But Allah — He is the Most Knowledgeable, the Most Loving. He is Self-Sufficient.

When I remember this, submitting to His will doesn’t just feel easier — it feels like the only logical option.

Why wouldn’t I do what the Lord, who created everything — with all the knowledge, with all the love in the world — is telling me is best for me?

The closer I can align my life with His will, the better it will be.

When following His rules feels hard, and the fallout feels like it’s going to be big, people might say, “But Allah is the Most Loving, the Most Merciful — He wouldn’t want this for you.”

Ask yourself: did He write the rule?

He would not write for you your proviosions, your light, your path to Him, in disobedience to Him.

Allah controls the consequences. Allah can make the heavy light.

When you choose Him — even when it is hard, even when you don’t want to — you show that you trust Him and that you worship Him, in his Might and Glory alone and not your desires.

Trust that He wrote the rules to guide you, not to upset you.

Trust that He wrote them in His divine knowledge, and that He has more knowledge than you.

Trust that if he has written hardship for you, it is out of His divine love.

And trust that Allah is sufficient for us and The Best Disposer of Affairs.
